DAY 1: VIENTIANE—BOARDING

Afternoon and Night

• You'll board a luxurious Laotian cruise ship—the Mekong Sun in the afternoon. 
• 14:00: It's check-in time and relax in your roomy stateroom for the next six days of sailing.
• Take a guided tour and visit such sites as the That Luang Stupa and the Victory Gate, a symbol of the courageous sacrifice who battled to maintain the independence of the nation.
  Once you've returned to your riverboat, spend time relaxing on the roomy decks and use various amenities onboard.
• Enjoy tonight's welcome cocktail hour and dinner. The cruise will have a buffet with a variety of Asian and Western dishes. Spend the night aboard.

DAY 2: WILD NATURE ALONG THE MIGHTY MEKONG

• Today will mark the beginning of your cruise down the Mekong river. Throughout the course of the day, you will continue to cruise up river, where you will come across some of the most stunning and impressive vistas.
• Before you halt at an isolated location for the night, spend the afternoon taking in the breathtaking scenery and marvelling at the natural phenomena that may be seen along the shoreline.

DAY 3: POWERFUL RAPIDS AND THE TOWN OF SALAKHAM

• You will find some of the most spectacular and impressive landscapes along this river as you travel farther north.
• The scenery is becoming better and better as you travel downstream; there are rolling hills covered in lush tropical foliage, awe-inspiring rock formations along the riverbanks, and a fascinating mix of swift currents and calmer sections of the river.
• Spend the day at Salakham, a picturesque district town. Your voyage along the mighty Mekong will feel more like an actual adventure because to the river's strong currents.
• Before continuing your journey to the north and finding a place to spend the night, take some time to appreciate the breathtaking scenery and marvel at the natural phenomena that may be seen along the riverbanks.

DAY 4: THE FARMING VILLAGE OF BAN DON SAINGAM

Morning and Afternoon

- Make a stop upstream at the quaint farming community of Ban Don Saingam, where you will have the opportunity to embark on a half-hour hiking excursion to discover a hidden cave that is only accessible to passengers on the Mekong River Cruises.

- A fully natural environment is only occasionally disturbed by the sight of small communities or herds of local cattle.

• This evening, we have our world-famous Mekong River Cruises barbecue meal in a breathtaking setting on the river.

DAY 5: XAYABOURI DAM

Morning and Afternoon

• Enjoy the breathtaking scenery during and after breakfast on board and watch for local fishermen working near the water's edge.
• Make sure you don't miss the log of the Xayabouridam, which is the largest hydropower facility in the entirety of Laos.
• In the afternoon, you will get the opportunity to speak with the people who live in a tiny hill tribal community that is located, frequently seen by visitors.

Night

• This evening is the last one spent aboard, will be commemorated with a goodbye meal.

DAY 6: KUANG SI – LUANG PRABANG

• A guided shore trip will take you to the Kuang Si waterfalls in the morning. These waterfalls are considered to be among the most beautiful waterfalls in all of Laos.
• Luang Prabang, the former royal capital of Laos and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be your destination in the afternoon today.

• In Luang Prabang you will say goodbye to your Lao team. Check out and departure from the vessel. The journey has come to an end here.

• 59 – 31 days prior to arrival date: Cancellations fee of 30% per group/booking and plus the cancellation fees applied by the concerned services suppliers such as flight company, boat company, train, hotels… in accordance with their cancellations policies if any.
• 30 days – 15 days prior to arrival date: Cancellations fee of 50% per group/booking plus the cancellation fees applied by the concerned services suppliers such as flight company, boat company, train, hotels… in accordance with their cancellations policies if any.
• 14 – 7 days before arrival: Cancellations fee 70% charge plus the cancellation fees applied by the concerned services suppliers such as flight company, boat company, train, hotels… in accordance with their cancellations policies if any.
• Less than 7 days before arrival Or No show: 100 % charge per group/booking.
