ITINERARY TOUR
DAY 1: LUANG PRABANG - ARRIVAL - CITY TOUR
On arrival at the airport, you will be met and transferred to check in the hotel.
After a soft rest, we will take a short walk around the small streets of city center, watching the life of local people.
After that, you will visit Royal Palace Museum, which was built in 1904 during the French colonial era for King Sisavang Vong and his family.
Late afternoon, we climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as a panoramic sunset view of the city and the Mekong River.
The welcome dinner will be served at the local restaurant with the traditional dance and folk song, the best chance to experience the local culture
The tour ends after a visit to the famous Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of handmade textiles made by local and hilltribe people surrounding Luang Prabang. Overnight in Luang Prabang

DAY 2: LUANG PRABANG - BAN LONG LAO - KUANG SI WATERFALLS
We depart from your hotel and drive for around one hour west to Ban Xeng Mouk village where the trek starts.
We begin with a visit to the ethnic Khmu village of Ban Longlao Nung before heading to the nearby Hmong village of Ban Longlao Song. You will be able to observe the lifestyles of these two culturally very different minority groups and see how despite their differences they manage to work together on a day to day basis and even sharing the same school.
As we continue onwards the trail leads through rice paddys and vegetable fields before reaching the mountainous forest. Along the way we explore a cave which was used as a bomb shelter by the locals during the second indochina war.
After visiting the cave one more hour of trekking brings us to one of the many springs which feeds Kuang Xi waterfalls, here a beautiful pool full of sacred fish can be seen. After descending from the top of the waterfall we enjoy a Lao style lunch amongst some beautiful settings!
The afternoon is spent bathing and relaxing around the turquoise pools below the waterfall. You can also visit the bear conservation center which is located nearby and home to many bears which have been rescued from illegal farms.
Before returning to Luang Prabang we take a short walk to a nearby Khmu village of Ban Thapene which is home to some of the most beautiful pools of Kuang Xi Waterfalls. Overnight in Luang Prabang

DAY 3: LUANG PRABANG - PAK OU CAVES - NONG KHIAW
Breakfast at the hotel, take a short visit to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong, a superb piece of Lao temple architecture, which presents a sweeping two-tiered roof and ornate mosaics including a beautiful ‘tree of life ‘glass montage on the rear temple wall.
Luang Prabang & Nong Khiaw Experience 8 days
We then begin our boat up the Mekong, enjoying the lush green forests and landscape. We will be able to stop off at a few villages and admire the breathtaking limestone karst scenery. Along the way we stop to visit the mysterious caves of Pak Ou, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by devoted pilgrims.
After visiting the caves, we will hop on the car and continue the transfer to Nong Khiaw, the small town along the lazy Nam Ou River.
Upon arrival in Nong Khiaw, transfer to your hotel in town.

Recommended: Late afternoon, hike up to Nong Khiaw viewpoint to enjoy the panoramic view over the town, and the nearby area. The hike up will take more than 1.5 hours; hence, start no later than 4PM to make sure you can admire the sunset at the top

DAY 4: NONG KHIAW - TAD MORK - BAN PHAYONG
We begin at 8am and start off by boarding a local long boat and head off upstream through some fantastic landscape before making our first stop of the day at a small riverside village. Here we take some time to look around and if during a weekday pay the local school a visit to see the charming children as they take part in their classes.
After this we continue onwards to Tad Mork which is located close to the ethnic Khmu village of Ban Sop Kong, an hour trek from the river. At the waterfall, we shall have time to swim and enjoy a picnic lunch.
After that, we will start trekking through the jungle to Ban Phayong, the village of H’Mong ethnic. The trek will take about 2.5 – 3 hours up to a small hill.

DAY 5: BAN PHAYONG - MUANG NGOI

DAY 6: MUANG NGOI - NONG KHIAW - MUANG SOUNE MUANG SOUNE - NAM OU RIVERSIDE
After breakfast, take the boat back to Nong Khiaw, where the local guide is waiting for you.
We then visit the nearby market to buy the fresh foods before continuing further to Muang Soune, which locates 65Km from Nong Khiaw by the bank of Nam Ou river.
Arriving in the village, you will be welcomed by the host family, before strolling around the village to see the life of local people. We then visit the house of the chief of the village, and talk with him about the living condition, the history, or anything about the village.
The lunch will then be served at the house of the host family.
In the afternoon, you can choose to either relax or to enjoy agricultural activities such as rice planting and harvesting in surrounding rice fields (depending on the season); Traditional fishing techniques (you can sample your catch for dinner!); or walk around the farm and rice field.
If you wish, the dip in the Nam Ou river is very inviting and worth a try.
You may wish to join and help the host with preparing the dinner. This is the chance to learn about Lao cuisine.
Before the dinner, we will join the Baci Ceremony, held by the elders of the village. The Baci ceremony as a traditional ritual of the Lao people expresses the spirituality of the country and is a highly memorable experience and a deep insight into Lao culture for the participants.
During the dinner, the folk tales will be told by the host family and translated by our guide.
You may wish to stroll around the riverbank, and sense the nature, admiring the starry sky before going to bed.

DAY 7: MUANG SOUNE - NAM OU RIVERSIDE
Wake up early, you never want to miss the chance to admire the sunrise over the Nam Ou river, and the nearby mountains.
After breakfast, the morning will be dedicated to the fishing by the stunning Nam Ou river, experience traditional fishing techniques. You will also take the boat trip exploring the surrounding areas.
We come back to the village at 11:00AM to join the transfer back to Luang Prabang.
Today, we will make the stop at Ban Vanglae, home to the lovely Nam Ou Riverside Resort, where we spend the rest of the day to relax by the inviting pool or walk around the nearby village. Overnight at Nam Ou Riverside Resort

- A deposit of 25% of the total of the tour is required upon confirmation of booking tour. You have peace of mind until 2 months before departure dates. At that point, we would require full prepayment only 60 days before departure for all services by money transfer or credit card payment with all bank transfer charges/ fees to be paid by the client.
- All the tour packages on this website operate on a pre-payment basis. Payment can be made either using a major credit card as Visa, Mastercard, and American Express Credit Card, not including credit card transaction fee ( Please add in 3% fee for Visa, Mastercard or 4% for American Express to the total amount of payment each time).

4. Refund of Unused Services
No refund will be given for any unused service after the trip has commenced.
5. Liability
VIET GREEN TRAVEL is not responsible for any loss, injury or damage sustained by passengers. Additional expenses incurred due to delays, accidents, natural disaster, political actions, and unrest must be borne by the passengers. Passengers are required to have full travel insurance.
Airline schedules and local conditions may affect accommodation and itineraries. Should this occur, VIET GREEN TRAVEL will endeavor to substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value. Participation on any tours implies full agreement to the above conditions by all parties involved.
6. Passport and Entry Visa
Your passport must be valid for at least six months following your entry date to your travel destination.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of a valid passport and visa and all travel documents are valid for travel.
7. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included in your tour price. It is the passenger’s responsibility to verify whether his/her local health insurance carrier provides coverage while traveling. Please contact your insurance carrier for details.
VIET GREEN TRAVEL strongly advises that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy to cover all aspects of your tour: the loss of deposits through cancellation lost of baggage and personal items, personal injury and death. A waiver must be signed if insurance is declined.

1. How do I reserve my tours with Viet Green Travel/Viet Green Golf?
Just complete and send the reservation form on our website, making sure that you have given us your e-mail address and phone number. As soon as we receive your request we will contact you to confirm the reservation. It is our policy to reply to all requests within 24 hours.
2. Do you have tours available on specific dates?
Almost all of our tours are daily departure. To make a booking, you must submit a reservation form. Then we process the booking and reply to you within 24 hours.
3. I don’t want to make a reservation online, what can I do?

5. What if the preferred hotel is not available?
You will be notified via an e-mail (within 24 hours after placing your order) and we will do our best to suggest or book an alternative similar hotel based on your preferences and our experience.
6. What is the latest time that I can make my reservation?
We can only guarantee bookings made at least 3-working days (not including Sun & Public holidays) before the departure date.
7. How far in advance can I book?
You can book as far as 24 months in advance, but please ensure you remember you have made the reservation. We will charge 20% of total rate is required upon the confirmation of services require full payment 60 days before departure.
You can expect to receive the invoice as a reminder well in advance of your trip.
8. How do I make a reservation for someone else?
To complete a reservation for someone else, simply type in his or her name instead of yours for guest name. Don’t forget to use your email address to receive your confirmation information.
9. What happens to my tour booking if my flight is delayed?
Please inform us and the hotel immediately as any changes or fee will depend on the hotel policy. We will also try our best to offer you similar ground services.
10. Is it reliable to book online?
Making an online reservation is easy and safe. Just complete the secure reservations form, making sure that you give us your e-mail address.. As soon as we receive your request we will reply within 24 hours.
